Changing the energy levels

On this page we have added an energy level diagram. It can be seen between the model and the graph. It shows the ground state (blue line) and excited state (black line) levels for each atom in the model. The energy level for the pink atom is on the left and the energy level for the green atom is on the right. You will now adjust those energy levels . What do you think you are changing when you move the energy levels Note this is when I think we should introduce the energy level diagram (I took it out of prior pages, but you might want to think about what exactly we should introduce. and then I would love
1. To adjust the energy levels of an atom click the mouse on one of the bars. When you click the bar small white squares will appear on each end.
2. Drag the bar up or down.
3. Set the energy levels for each atom and the initial velocity in order to solve the challenges below.
Note: I think that for us to know whether the student has been successful we would need to see what settings the students created and then have them parse out why these settings worked. I don't think snapshot of the models will tell us enough. --ap
