The model represents molecules from the cup and counter at the instant they touch. You've learned this model earlier in Activity 3.3. Here you will be able to change three conditions to investigate the molecular view and temerature graph of thermal conductivity.
Part I. Set Up the Conditions
(1) Select a counter made of either metal, glass or wood.
(2) Decide the temperature (OC) of the cup and counter
(3) Decide the time for the cup put on the table (observation time)
Part II. Run Your Investigations
Click the blue arrow button to run the model. Pay attention to the changes of the molecular motion shown in the model and the change of the temerature by time shown in the graph.
