Can an atom ever absorb a photon? Yes, if it has just the right frequency!
The photons that an atom emits are right frequency to be absorbed by
another atom of the same kind. Run the model again and see if you can
observe a photon being absorbed by an atom. When you do, stop the model,
rewind, take a snapshot just before and just after the absorption of the
photon, and paste them below.
