Some technologies require the acceleration of electrons or other charged
particles in a straight line rather than following a curved path. An
electric field which does this is called a uniform field.
</p>
<p>
Your challenge on this page is to design a uniform field that will <strong>accelerate
an electron along a straight-line path regardless of where you place the
electron in the container</strong>.
</p>
<p>
You can place as many positive and negative charges as you like, but can
only place one electron using the <img height="23" src="addElectronUP.png" width="23">
button. Test your uniform field by dropping an electron into the model
to see if it moves in a straight line. After you have succeeded, take a
snapshot of your uniform field.
