Diffusion
Diffusion is the net movement of particles from areas of high concentration to low concentration. (Find out more about diffusion and molecular movement.)
Your job will be to set up experiments with the model below in order to answer the following questions about diffusion:
Would the smell of perfume make it across a room faster if it were hotter or colder in the room? Why?
If someone spilled a bottle of perfume on the opposite side of the room from you, would you smell that perfume faster than if someone walked into the opposite side of the room wearing a small amount of perfume? Why?
