energy will be greater than 100 eV.
If the electron were more confined to an area of 1 angstrom, the energy would increase by 10 fold to 1000 eV.
In a qusantum dot, higher energy translates to higher fequencies of emitted light by the equation E=hv, where h is Planck's constant and v is the frequency of light. So, smaller quantum dots
translate to higher frequencies of emitted light.
